Do you have experience managing the operation of a large website? If you encompass superb design skills and are proficient in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and Photoshop this is the job for you.  If you are familiar with content management systems, search engine optimization and the technical features of websites, then you should definitely apply.

The Senior Manager, Web Design must be able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines, staying on top of the details and maintaining the highest quality.  The person we seek must have an impeccable design sensibility, balancing form and function with a keen eye for the overall aesthetic

This is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Advertising at our offices located in Jersey City, NJ.  We offer very good benefits and compensation commensurate with experience and skill level.

You must list your online portfolio in your application.
Bachelors degree preferred. Degree in design, commercial art, website development, or a related field a plus.
Fifteen years of experience in design and/or website development. Experience supervising employees and managing the operations of large websites.
Superior graphic design skills.
Proficient in software and programming languages -- such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, SQL, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Flash, Photoshop, InDesign, and QuarkXPress -- needed to design and execute web pages and technical features of websites. Familiar with content management systems, search engine optimization, and web analytics. Familiarity with Macintosh computers and operating systems a plus.
Superior communication skills to facilitate work with internal clients at all levels of the organization.
Ability to coordinate work with vendors and freelancers in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently.
Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

Supervise web art directors (of all levels) and/or other staff
Manage overall design strategies for all websites. Manage daily operation of assigned websites, including executing client requests for changes, information, and other services as needed.
Design and produce web pages for assigned websites, blast e-mails, and e-newsletters.
Design, recommend, and coordinate changes to technical features of assigned websites.
Consult with other team members and business line clients on graphic treatments and technical features. 
Recommend and manage implementation of courses of action.
Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
